Managing Facebook Generated Stress

There is no question that Facebook is a powerful social networking tool.

Social Networking sites are creating a revolution no less significant than the Industrial Revolution.

Facebook can be addictive.  The random unexpected rewards of friends comments, new friends, flirting, and fame all conspire to fuel the attraction.

Social Networking, whether online or in real life, can generate stress.  Inappropriate comments, rudeness or downright bullying can generate considerable distress.

If you meet and become attracted to someone via Facebook and they then remove themselves from your friend’s list it can be stressful.

There are no quick fixes in respect of relationship stress, particularly of the Facebook kind.  However, there is one important and well proven outcome upon which you can count:

You will recover!

It may seem nigh impossible at the time - but you can recover the loss of a Facebook relationship and life will go on and new opportunities and possibilities will emerge.

Never, ever consider that the pain will last forever.  This is a trick of the mind that those who have lived longer than the average age of a Facebook user have come to know and appreciate.

Social Networking can be exhilarating providing you are sufficiently stress tough to ride out the peaks and troughs.

There is no doubt that facebook can be a little overwhelming at times. I think like most things new technology tools they are great in moderation, useful when you use them as a tool rather than let them use you so to speak. We all want to feel popular, but remembering who you are and being true to yourself will have your real friends stick around. As a good friend of mine said “who are these people kidding! nobody has 682 friends”

I have 111 friends on my Facebook site and about 30 of them are people I cant stand who have requested me as a friend . It’s just a competition to see who can get the most friends lol .

I deleted my facebook a few days ago due to extreme stress by other users some which were average church going people of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, one that got a little ticked of for writing an actress for an autographed photo, It was not only him but the whole posse of the other users so I got fed up.
